Baby's Simple Root Vegetable Puree
 
Vegetable Baby Food Recipes for (8 months+) Babies
 
Recipe Ingredients :
4 medium potatoes, mashed
medium swede
1 medium parsnip
1 medium carrot
14 fl oz unsalted vegetable stock
 
Recipe Instructions :
1. Peel all the vegetables. Cut the parsnip lengthways into quarters and remove the core. Dice all the veg into even-sized pieces.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the vegetables and fry for five minutes. Cover with the vegetable stock, bring to the boil and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the veg is tender. Strain over a bowl and keep the liquid.
3. Puree the vegetables in a food processor. Add the mashed potato and enough of the liquid to acheive the desired texture.
