Avocado, Pear and Lentil Homemade Baby Food Recipe
Pear Baby Food Recipes for (6 months+) Babies
Recipe Ingredients :
4 fresh, ripe avocados
2 pears
1/2 cup of dry lentils
Recipe Instructions :
1. Prepare your lentils according to the package directions
2. Peel, core and dice your pears. Toss them in to soften in the boiling water of the lentils, or boil separately.
3. Strain lentils and pears, and place together in a mixing bowl. Add a couple ice cubes and stir briskly to cool the mixture.
4. Peel avocado, and slice off pulp around the core. Dice up and add to the mixture.
5. Put all ingredients in blender or food processor, or mash in the mixing bowl. You want a puree for babies on first-time solids, and you want a lumpy mash for advanced feeders.
6. Serve fresh and store the remaining baby food. You can place small amounts in jars to freeze (but leave room for expansion) or place in ice cube trays to freeze and place in freezer bags.
